About Oaks Harmony
Oaks Harmony is a residential strata community with a dedicated bike parking area used by many delivery e-bikes. Despite this, there was no infrastructure for convenient, safe charging.
Barriers to E-Bike Charging
The challenge was safety and behaviour, not demand. Residents charged batteries in apartments, creating a fire hazard. Without an alternative, this risky practice was unlikely to change, making a purpose-fit solution essential.

The NOX Energy Solution
NOX Energy installed 24 chargers directly within the bike charging room, eliminating the need for residents to bring batteries up to the charging room. By placing charging exactly where residents already kept their bikes, the solution made safe charging the convenient choice rather than an inconvenient obligation. The simplicity of the approach meant residents adopted it quickly and without friction.
Testimonial
“We engaged Nox Energy to install 24 intelligent power sockets in our newly built lithium-ion battery charging room. This facility was introduced as a safety measure to prevent residents from charging lithium batteries in their apartments, reducing the risk of fires or explosions.
The transition was a great success. NOX Energy provided clear instructional signage for the app, and impressively, not a single resident required assistance to operate the chargers. Given the success of the charging room, we’ve decided to work with NOX Energy again to install EV chargers in resident car spaces.
It has been a pleasure dealing with Wylie from NOX Energy—he is highly responsive, knowledgeable, and consistently helpful. I look forward to working with him again in the future.”

Results
Oaks Harmony now has purpose-fit charging in its bike room, directly addressing the fire risk associated with in-apartment battery charging. Residents can charge safely overnight without removing batteries from the space they are already stored in, making the building safer for everyone. The success of the initial installation has since brought the strata committee back to NOX Energy to expand charging into the main carpark, extending the same convenience and safety principles to residents with EVs.
