About Boxshall Residences
Boxshall is a residential strata building that has already invested in early EV infrastructure, including a dedicated EV distribution board and Ethernet cabling to every car park bay. The groundwork was there, but no chargers or Load Management System (LMS) had ever been installed, leaving residents without a usable solution despite the preparation that had already taken place.
Barriers to EV Charging
The incomplete rollout left residents with immediate charging needs in limbo. The strata committee needed a whole-of-building solution that could be delivered without delay, building on the existing infrastructure rather than duplicating or replacing it, and capable of serving current EV owners as well as those who would make the switch in the future.
The NOX Energy Solution
NOX Energy assessed the existing distribution board and Ethernet infrastructure and designed a solution that leveraged what was already in place. The IPS units are connected via the existing Ethernet cabling at each bay, avoiding additional civil works and significantly accelerating the installation timeline. The result was a complete, building-wide charging network delivered in one month from start to finish.
